What defines us
Developing people and enabling them for further tasks, roles and positions is our top priority. That's why we founded the Fressnapf | Maxi Zoo Academy in 2006. It supports store employees - from sales assistants to specialists and managers - with on-the-job training and a wide range of tailored e-learnings and classroom seminars. For our support office team we offer detailed hands on training provided by the line manager, external trainers and providers and further education supports.

The first intelligent ecosystem around the animal
We continue to grow as the market leader because we continuously have new ideas. In more than 1,700 stores - and of course also online - we offer pet owners more than 30,000 different articles with which they can perfectly fulfill their role as pet owners. Through its various sales channels, Fressnapf sells 16 exclusive brands alone. In addition to classic stores and digital sales channels, we are also currently building up a network of stationary pet salons and a range of digital and data-based services. Torsten Toeller: Initiator, owner, driving force
Fressnapf was founded by Torsten Toeller in 1990 and has remained owner-managed ever since. From an idea and a store in Erkelenz (Rhineland), Fressnapf has become an international omni-channel retailer that offers a wide range of services in addition to its stores and online stores - still driven by the creativity and decisiveness of its founder and his management team led by Managing Directors Dr. Johannes Steegmann and Christian Kümmel.
